The Belfast Maskers is a community theater that encourages anyone, regardless of past experience or expertise in the theater, to participate in acting, set design, lighting, sound, box office, and any of the myriad of other tasks that go into putting on a production.

This page outlines the audition scedule for actors for the current production season. If you are interested in working on lights, sets, sound, or other "back-stage" aspects of a production, please see our Volunteers page.

Readings of the play to be cast are held on the Wednesday prior to the Saturday auditions for the play. These readings allow prospective actors to become familiar with the play and the roles available prior to auditions. Readings are informal and anyone considering becoming involved in a production is encouraged to attend. Auditions are typically held on Saturdays at 10 a.m. New faces are always welcomed and encouraged to participate. It is important to understand that the Maskers have a long tradition of staging high-quality productions and achieving such quality requires dedication and extensive time commitments from all those involved. The Maskers typically do not use understudies, so make sure you are available for all performances before you consider auditioning. Unless otherwise noted, all readings and auditions take place at the Maskers Waterfront Theater, 43 Front Street, Belfast.
